I was making great time and five and a half hours out of Boston when a deer decided to leap across I-90. I had to abandon my van outside of Syracuse, get a rental car, transfer all my craft show displays and inventory and continue the rest of the journey in a sedan. I am so used to the storage space in my cargo van, it was a very tight squeeze.
This definitely puts a damper on my upcoming tour schedule. Normally, I would just travel to the show and stay overnight in the van. Now, with the sedan, I will have to drive back and fourth and rent a hotel for the Providence weekend.
Even when the universe sticks a deer smack dab in my path, I will not let it slow me down or stop me from achieving my goals. I have the most aggressive market schedule I have ever set for myself in the coming weeks. I am grateful to be a live and to be surrounded by friends and family.
Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season!
